First Baptist Church Music Ministry is based on the command to…
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord all you lands.
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Psalm 100: 1-2.
Just as God calls for all lands to praise Him, we believe that all ages should praise Him. Therefore we provide opportunities for all age groups to offer their gifts in worship to God. Our worship blends contemporary choruses, Southern Gospel, traditional hymn arrangements, and other "styles" to create our own unique expression of worship. We believe that it is not the style of the song but rather the heart of the singer that pleases the heart of God.
Sounds of Celebration is our adult/sanctuary choir. They sing a wide variety of music, from contemporary to classics, Broadman Press to Brooklyn Tabernacle. To prepare to lead in worship on a weekly basis, Sounds of Celebration rehearses every Wednesday night from 7:00 until 8:30.

The First Baptist Church Orchestra leads in morning worship every Sunday. Whether playing with Sounds of Celebration, leading in congregational worship, or playing instrumental selections, the orchestra richly enhances our worship times. Rehearsals are Wednesday night, 6:15 - 7:30.
Goldenheirs is our Senior Adult choir, made up of retirees who just love to sing. Goldenheirs is a seasonal choir, meeting every Wednesday at 11:00am, from October through March. They lead in worship and conclude their season with a three to four day tour in late March or early April.
The Drama Ministry of First Baptist Church is multi-faceted. From dinner theaters led by our student choir to dramatic monologues and sketches used as sermon illustrations, our drama troupe creatively and clearly expresses the gospel message.

FACEDOWN is our auditioned band that meets on a weekly basis to provide musical worship for our middle and high school worship time known as COLLIDE. Reference the Student link for more info about these worship experiences.
The Adult Praise Band is the latest addition to the First Baptist Music Ministry. Various vocalists and instrumentalists come together to lead and offer praise to God as part of our corporate worship services on Sunday mornings.
