WHY WE GIVE

Giving is an important part of following Christ and serving others.  Through our giving we express worship to God, meet the needs of others and free ourselves from the love of money.  Giving is a key element in our discipleship and a Biblical gauge of spiritual maturity.  Jesus taught, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”  The Scriptures also teach we should give cheerfully, sacrificially and regularly.  Proverbs 3:9 states, “Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of your crops…”

GIVING ONLINE

Our new e-giving service allows members or others to give to the Lord through www.fbclw.com in an easy, safe, secure and convenient way.  This occurs through an Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) that you can set up as a one time gift or as an automatic recurring gift.  The recurring gift can be arranged on a weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly basis.  With either the one-time or recurring gift you can also direct your funds into tithes, offerings or special funds.  We urge you not to incur credit card debt in your giving.  To give online as a tax-deductible gift click the button below...

GIVING’S IMPACT

The ministries reflected on this website and many more are made possible as God moves His people to give.  As you give financially there are spiritual results and you “lay up treasures in heaven” (Matthew 6:20).  In short, ministry results can be traced to your faithful giving.

OTHER GIVING

Church members have also given to the Lord’s work in other creative ways through the years.  Examples of such giving include:  stock dividends; in kind gifts; bequest in will; memorial gifts; life insurance; charitable reminder trusts, and others.  If you feel God is leading you to give in any of these creative ways, contact Lois Poole at the church office at 863-676-3436 ext. 228.

GIVING WITH ENVELOPES

Many at First Baptist Church prefer to bring tithes and offerings to the Lord in the context of our Sunday morning worship services.   To prepare you for that the church provides personalized offering envelopes.  Also, generic envelopes can be found on the back of the pews in the worship center.  The personalized envelopes are mailed to church members throughout the year.  If you would like to receive these envelopes please contact Lois at FBCLW.  If you are unable to bring your envelopes to a worship service you are always welcome to mail them to FBC at 338 E Central Ave. Lake Wales, FL  33853.
